Ideal anatomy and proportions:<\/h2>\n

A young and aesthetic forehead is round, curved with, in women, a supra-brow depression (above the eyebrows) that is not very marked. The temples are an important element in the aesthetics of the forehead, they can become hollow with time due to a melting of the fat and a thinning of the temporal muscle, thus creating a shadowy area in front of the temples. A bulging forehead can be restored by lipofilling (= fat injection).<\/p>\n

Technique:<\/h3>\n

Fat removal (often internal knee or abdomen) under local anesthesia (no pain with an adapted anesthesia), decantation and specific preparation of the fat (thus recovering part of the purified fat, rich in stem cells) then reinjection by micro incisions of 1 mm.<\/p>\n

Results :<\/h3>\n

Time frame for final results: <\/b>
\n1 week for the filling, but 3 months for the rejuvenation effect on the skin of the stem cells contained in the fat<\/p>\n

Longevity of results : <\/b>
\n5-10 years<\/p>\n

Before surgery:<\/h3>\n

Stop smoking 1 month before
\nDo not take Aspirin 10 days before surgery, inform Dr. Lucas of any anticoagulant medication (Sintrom, Coumadin, Eliquis, etc.) in order to arrange for its discontinuation or replacement.
\nTake Arnica capsules 5 times a day for 5 days before surgery to prevent hematoma.<\/p>\n

Intervention :<\/h3>\n

Pain:<\/b> the pain during the intervention will be almost non-existent, with an adapted anesthesia
\nDuration of the procedure:<\/b> 60 minutes
\nAnesthesia:<\/b> local and sedation
\nLocation:<\/b> operating room
\nOutpatient (without hospitalization)<\/b><\/p>\n

After surgery:<\/h3>\n

Post-operative pain:<\/b> 1\/10 often responding to Dafalgan<\/p>\n

Social eviction :<\/h3>\n

swelling and bruising for 4-7 days
\nSuture removal: <\/b>no sutures
\nReturn to work:<\/b> 3-6 days
\nReturn to sport:<\/b> 1 week<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/h3>\n

Bed rest without major effort and ice mask for 24 hours days, as often as possible, to reduce swelling.
\nDo not compress the fat injection area (risk of fat loss)
\nGentle massage from 5 days if irregularities
\nTake Arnica capsules 5 times a day for 5 days after surgery to prevent hematoma
\nStop smoking permanently to prevent fat resorption
\nCheck-up by Dr Lucas 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months<\/p>\n

Complications common to all injections:<\/h3>\n

– Infection, hematoma, asymmetry, under or overcorrection
\n– Intravascular emboli: it is important to have this procedure performed by a qualified physician who is used to injecting this area, which is richly vascularized with a very variable vessel anatomy. A vascular embolism if it moves into the circulation of the retina can lead to blindness or necrosis.<\/p>\n

Alternatives and operations that can be combined:<\/h3>\n
